Our NDE Services Group provides qualified inspectors to perform visual, radiographic, ultrasonic, magnetic particle and liquid penetrant inspections to any code or specification. We are capable of performing inspections at our full service lab located just southwest of Birmingham and, therefore, strategically located among many automotive manufacturers, as well as, support industry for defense contractors. Our lab offers some of the latest technology associated with modern NDE, including a Computed Radiography (CR) unit. For source radiography we have on-site, a large RT vault capable of handling medium sized castings and small fabrications. We are currently licensed for iridium 192 and cobalt 60. In addition to source radiography, we currently operate three x-ray cabinets that allow us to perform “production type” radiography. Our lab is also equipped for multiple part inspections requiring magnetic particle and/or liquid penetrant by utilizing production lines set up for both disciplines.
Our NDE Service Group is not restricted to the lab however, we have the capability of performing field inspections anywhere at the request of our clients. Our technicians are performing inspection services daily at field locations including fabrication shops, machine shops, construction sites, and other facilities.
